ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Specification Manager,you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and other key project stakeholders to provide in-depth product, commercial, and technical support, securing the specification of Tate’s Data Centre solutions. This role is pivotal in supporting the wider commercial team on active projects to secure a Tate specification.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with architectural practices & engineering firms to foster long-term collaboration and promote Tate specifications across Europe.

  • Create and manage a comprehensive database of architects, engineers, and design professionals to streamline outreach and engagement.

  • Deliver tailored CPD sessions for architectural practices & engineering firms across Europe, showcasing product features, sustainability benefits, and practical applications.

  • Collaborate closely with architects & engineers to understand their project needs, providing product recommendations aligned with specifications.

  • Work with agility to adapt to changing project requirements, market trends, and client feedback.

  • Represent Tate at industry conferences across Europe, showcasing our expertise, sharing insights, and building strategic relationships to enhance the Tate’s profile and influence in the industry.

  • Act as a bridge between design consultants and R&D, providing valuable insights and feedback to support product innovation.

  • Stay informed on industry competition and market dynamics across Europe, offering strategic input to keep Tate at the forefront.

  • Partner with project managers and R&D teams to align on project objectives, ensuring seamless execution and support.

  • Maintain accurate records of design consultant interactions, project updates, and feedback in the CRM system for effective follow-up and tracking.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to key stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth across Europe

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degreein architecture, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Solid and stable professional experience (circa 5 years +) in a business development, specification, or marketing role within the B2B building/construction industry.

Skills

  • Strong ability to build and maintain clientrelationships with key stakeholders

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence to interact at all levels.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills,with the abilityto multitask and prioritize.

  • Deep understanding of sustainability challenges and trends in the construction market.

  • Ability to adapt technical information for diverse audiences effectively.
