The Data Center Design Engineering Project Manager, EMEA will support the Data Center Engineering team and provide coordination and project management services both internal as well as with partners, consultants and other third parties to ensure processes are followed and deliverables are met. This position reports to the Director, Data Center Design Engineering EMEA.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Design Process, manage budget reviews and support construction efforts for new projects and existing site expansions, while working with Partners, Contractors, and Internal Teams

  • Manage Design to Uptime Institute standards such as EN 50600, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, etc.

  • Maintain thorough knowledge, accurately enforce and revise all SOPs and company practices

  • Identify, develop and execute process improvements

  • Review, optimize, and innovate on site designs

  • Travel as needed (approximately 25% of the time)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge in understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Systems that are supporting the Critical Environments

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, expertise in MS Projects, and ability to learn REVIT.

  • Ability to work with and manage many groups and disciplines including vendors

  • Ability to prepare and manage to budget and forecasts

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Superb customer service skills

Experience/Education

  • 8+ years of experience with complex engineering system designs, such as Data Center, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or power generation project

  • 2+ years of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering experience supporting hyperscale Data Center Design, Construction, and Commissioning, or in a theoretically deep engineering environment

  • Experience with certifications authorized within Uptime Institute, EN 50600, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, etc.

  • Professional experience in Project Management (planning, coordination, documenting),  inclusive to managing large budgets and vendor management

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent work experience
