ABOUT THE ROLE
This Senior role is a mixture of both Global Relationship Management and Sales Leadership.
Focusing on growing our Market Share specifically within the Data Centre (DC) environment, in both
Infracture Cabling and Day 2 / Smart Hand Services, along with taking a lead on data centre market
insights, PR and networking globally. As such it requires an exceptional candidate with wide ranging skills and experience.
The Director of Data Centre is a senior leadership role within Onnec and critical to the sales and growth strategy globally. The candidate should be hugely ambitious and excited by the possibilities provided by our solutions, leading, building and motivating both a dedicated and virtual data centre community globally.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the development and execution of the Data Centre (DC) Strategy for Onnec Globally
including a clearly defined go to market plan.
• Build strong Senior relationships and webs of influence (WOI) with target clients and partners.
• Establish themselves as a true subject matter expert for Data Centre across Onnec
• Define new target clients and own the pipeline for growth, including, COLO Targets, Emerging
Sectors, potential Hyper Scalers.
• Drive, collate and share Data Centre market research and insights both internal & externally with Marketing/Consultants/Strategy
• Become an external voice on Data Centre working in collaboration with marketing to contribute to
industry thought leadership and attending events, seminars, panel discussions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant Partners, Consultants, Contractors in DC’s
• Generate New / Cross Sales Business across existing accounts and target clients (Projects and
Services such as Smart Hands)
Lead a “Virtual” ONNEC Team focused on Data Centre Clients across all regions.
Strategic Direction – support and execute the Data Centre Strategy, ensuring consistent
deployment and management across the Onnec Group, building Global Account Development
Plans (ADP’s) for target clients.
Account Development / Leadership - you will lead and motivate the sales and operation teams
using the ADP to set a vision and plan of activity in the pursuit of growing our services within Date
Centre clients.
Innovation / Offer Design – Supporting in the design SMART Hands / Day 2 Services offer,
working with the relevant teams to develop collateral, go to market plans, commercials, training of
Sales / Operations to proactively sell into clients
Leadership them in a fast-changing marketplace. You will bring your skills as a leader to bear,
appreciating the unique propositions and their parts to play in the proposition, while also
supporting consistent best practice and growth across dedicated and virtual teams.
Consultative Selling – Develop a Consultative selling approach, using data and insights and
industry experience to drive informed conversations with existing and prospective clients,
enhancing the level of engagement and widening our web of influence
Partnerships – building strategic relationships with our key partners such and manufacturers
contractors and distributors, working with Procurement, Managing Directors and Sales teams to
ensure strong web of influence across the partnership stakeholders.

Partners – Develop relationships with COLO Providers
Manufacturers - develop relationships with key manufacturers and distribution channels to maximise opportunities for Onnec.
Client – ensure that client requirements are met and serviced within agreed time frames.
Distributors - develop relationships with key global and regional distributors.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience of at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong technical understanding of the industry sector in all countries Onnec operate in, specifically
in structured cabling, data centre and ICT technologies.
Excellent leader.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Financial acumen experience.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment while making informed decisions.
